Nostalgia
Sometimes memories are just waiting somewhere in a corner to strike without warning.
The trigger can be anything, a scent, a melody, a familiar situation, and suddenly everything buried deep down in the past just resurfaces.
It happened last week, I was browsing through an old hard drive when I found a file I thought I had thrown more than a decade ago.
To be honest, I've always hated that music, it was an assignment back in music school : make a simplistic melodic line and use it as a base for different arrangements.
I still dislike it, but while listening to it many things came back to my mind in a big chaos : all the people I once knew and loved much back then, all the things we used to do, hot chocolate with cinnamon, a mixture of scents (tangerine, wood and clove), the good days, the not-so-good ones too...

Frightful (final mix)
Finally, after spending a few nights on it, "Frightful" -note for self : I seriously have to find a better title- is finished.
It's amazing how patterns just spring out of nowhere at 2 or 3am (I might have been an owl in another life) and I was just adding adding adding, until I had reached the number of 126 tracks (needless to say, my CPU did not like that fact).
So I reorganized the timeline, moved tracks around (many were just abandonned, a few I felt were good enough to be used in some other projects), and I think this time, I kept the essential.

Clouds 2.0
Hej,
I never was fully satisfied with previous versions of Clouds, it never came close to the way it used to sound live with all the fancy electronic stuff I was playing with back then (ah well, burnt bridges are burnt bridges...), and even further away to the way I was originally hearing it in my mind...
It took some time, but I finally fully rearranged it, I guess we can call it version 2.0.
PS: It is also available on Deezer, Spotify, Amazon... on the Winter Tale EP

Hide & Seek
I searched for a really long time where they could disappear in a closed room...
“Y'know their still shippin them over here. They put em in cars, they put em in yer tv. They put em in stereos and those little radios you stick in your ears. They even put em in watches, they have teeny gremlins for our watches!” (Murray Futterman, from Gremlins)

Northern Lights
That's the beginning of a small melody ringing in the back of my mind since a while, I've no idea yet as to what its final shape will be.

Diamond in the dark
In my spare time, apart from raising some uncommon creatures (as some already know...), another hobby of mine is growing orchids, the genus Pleione in particular.
It's always rewarding when they finally flower, this one in particular took 8 years before deciding itself, but it was worth the wait.
