Musicbox

Hej.

Another old melody.
I intended it as a musicbox lullaby for my little cousin but it just never seemed to do its purpose.

Nevertheless, I still like it and it was an amazing experience, I just love how one can spend weeks with pieces of melodic lines in mind without finding what to do with those, and then suddenly everything just starts to fall back in place and blend together into one.

Since long I feel like putting images together and make a video for it...

Little Thomas

Sometimes, I just feel the need to talk to someone, share something, but then, when I try, I just don't find the right words, and I end up not speaking at all. So this time, I'm just gonna write it the way it flows in my mind.

Every saturdays, I take part to a Tale Hour with kids of the children hospital. It's basically just recounting a tale, but making the kids interract with the story, change it, control it, reinvent it.
I may be 35, but somehow I'm still a kid myself, I watch animes on TV on sunday mornings, I always amaze myself in front of little things, imagine magical stories behind every little objects...
But every time, when I come back home from the tale hour, I feel even younger, because most of the kids there seem to be older in their mind than I am (and, in fact, than most of the grownups I know are). One kid in particular always caught my attention : Little Thomas.

Rain

another old melody done when toying... ah.. boredom

Winter Tale

Today, something old...
That was my first attempt using a 3D software, years ago...
The software was called TrueSpace, did not come with a handy "how to", so I just went from scratch, trials and errors mode... and did that overnight (yes, I can be quite persistant -to not say stubborn- when I don't succeed to do what I want).

PS: yes, I know, the moon is not supposed to have a shadow (among other things)...

Tänd ett ljus*

*Light a candle

Nights are quite long in december in the northern hemisphere, and light is cruelly missing.
On that night which once was the longest of the year*, lighting a candle is making up for the cold and dark atmosphere which lies outdoors.
Why a candle over other light sources? Because it's a flame, it's warm and living, it dances, hypnotizes, seduces and casts away gloomy moods.

*during Middle Ages, a discrepancy of several days due to the julian calendar effectively resulted in the winter solstice falling around december 13th..

Serenity

I've been toying with the sequencer... again...
It's unfinished, many things will certainly be changed (I'm never satisfied), but I'm going to leave it for a while (that's how I do).

Little things... #1 frost

We are all so busy with our lives... so we stopped paying attention to little things like we used to do when we were kids, because they're too common, trivial, seemingly insignificant.

But if we stop for a minute, throwing a look around us, we might see that little detail which changes everything : a random smile from a total stranger can warm you up; a ray of sun from a somewhat cloudy sky sometimes unveils new perspectives, shedding a new light on a well known landscape.

Soon wintertime

Soon winter time, and the sky is taking fire over the river at nightfall...
